The whole “hippie” vibes persona she uses is cute and all but it’s a mixture of different cultures. Especially henna which South Asian women/others have constantly called out non-Asian descendants for having or wearing. It’s about the fact she uses it for a personal aesthetic but it doesn’t mean shit to her it’s all just about the style not the actual history. And hippies (in America) were rich white kids who were bored with their lives and wanted to travel (when the money came from their parents) and typically were just out there trying to antagonize police officers and smoke pot for shock value. The counter culture / hippie movement is shit. Moving on, Perrie is a wonderful, kind hearted person but her whole hippie persona can suck my left toe. The henna and dreads were culture appropriation as well as the dream catcher on her cake, which is a Indigenous American symbol.
